Over 2 dozen (non-limited) well budgeted Hollywood movies did released this year and luckily most of which lived up to the expectations and poured in juicy box office results. Yeah, hollywood keeps pinching back with highly-budgeted and well scripted flicks (with few exceptions), and so did happened this year.

 

Thor (2011)

Thor, released in April 2011, was a well crafted Sci-Fi Adventure Drama, that won great reviews from critics, and got a 77% rating at Rotten tomatoes. Ashley Edward Miller’s act was highly rated and appreciated. This a a must watch for Fantasy movie fans. – Thor 2 a sequel is coming in 2013…

 

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2 (2011)

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – part 2 worked big time just like its prequel’s and once again got the Blockbuster status in weeks, thus putting an end to the one of Greatest Series of Decades. Harry Potter’s all eight flicks fetched a whopping $7.7 Billion grossed over the decade. An obvious watch for Harry Potter fans as it got 96% rating at Rotten Tomatoes.

 

Puss in Boots (2011)

Puss in Boots a Kids & Family animation flick, worked better than expected on the Box Office (worldwide). The movie is a prequel to the all time blockbuster ‘Shrek Series’, and the producers had made sure to put in a solid script and charm to this franchise. Yet they seem to have got success when looking at critics reviews, which were generally positive and got 82% rating at Rotten Tomatoes. Reportedly the film recovered its costs in week two itself. Not the one to miss out if you aren’t hesitant with Animation flicks.

 

Rise of the Planet of Apes (2011)

Yet again, Planet of Apes proved that the Monkey’s show can make good money.  Yes the movie worked big time, with a better script, direction and obviously the production budget (93 million), when compared to its first part whichwas released back in the last decade 2001. The movie is for people of almost every age, and won out standing reviews, and a 82% rating at Rotten Tomatoes… this one is not to be missed at any cost.

 

The Way Back (2011)

The Way Back, If you want me to believe this is truly one of the best Man survival movies besides (127 Hours) and is one of my favorites. The movie won strong critic reviews and was rated 74% at Rotten Tomatoes. Again this very engaging film is a must watch for those interested in human survival movies, and those filmed near the nature.

 

Source Code (2011)

Source Code rated 92% at Rotten Tomatoes won great critics reviews, and did bountiful box office business.  Jake Gyllenhaal the leading actor proved his excellence in his profession… Must Watch

 

Limitless (2011)

Limitless is one of the best Fantasy-Suspense, Thriller that from the decade. Yes the unique plot and well scripted movie & great act of Bradley Cooper puts the movie into the top league of the best watchable movies of 2011. The movie got rated 70% at Rotten Tomatoes.
